NETWORK INFORMATION (CPNI) RIGHTS
Etex Telephone Cooperative (“Etex”) and its affiliate company, Etex Communications (“Affiliate”), provide a vast array of telecommunications and video services encompassing local, long-distance, wireless, Internet access, and video. We want to assure you that Etex handles sensitive information related to your account, known as Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI), with the utmost care.
CPNI includes the type, technical arrangement, quantity, destination, amount and usage of telecommunications services and related billing for those services. Under federal law, Etex and its Affiliate are obligated to treat all CPNI, including calling and billing details, confidentially, and only Etex and its Affiliate will utilize this information.
According to FCC rules, Etex may share your CPNI with its Affiliate providing services you do not currently subscribe to, unless you choose otherwise. If you prefer Etex not to share your CPNI with its Affiliate, you can "opt-out" by notifying us in writing or visiting https://www.etex.net/existing-customer/cpnioptout within the next 30 days. Written notices must be sent to Etex at PO Box 130 Gilmer, TX 75644, including your account name, associated telephone number, and a statement requesting Etex to "restrict use of my CPNI."
Opting out will not affect the provision of any services to which you subscribe. Keep in mind that your approval to use CPNI may enhance our ability to offer products and services tailored to your specific needs. Once you opt-out, you'll remain opted-out for two (2) years. Afterward, Etex will offer an opportunity for renewal, following the same process above. If we do not receive an opt-out form within 30 days of this notice, We will assume you approve of our proposed CPNI use.

Etex Telephone Cooperative (“Etex”) y su empresa afiliada, Etex Communications (“Afiliada”), brindan una amplia gama de servicios de telecomunicaciones y video que abarcan acceso local, de larga distancia, inalámbrico, a Internet y video. Queremos asegurarle que Etex maneja información confidencial relacionada con su cuenta, conocida como Información de red patentada del cliente (CPNI), con sumo cuidado.
CPNI incluye el tipo, disposición técnica, cantidad, destino, monto y uso de los servicios de telecomunicaciones y la facturación relacionada por esos servicios. Según la ley federal, Etex y sus Afiliados están obligados a tratar toda la CPNI, incluidos los detalles de llamadas y facturación, de manera confidencial, y solo Etex y sus Afiliados utilizarán esta información.
De acuerdo con las reglas de la FCC, Etex puede compartir su CPNI con sus Afiliados que brindan servicios a los que usted no está suscrito actualmente, a menos que usted elija lo contrario.
